Residents of genteel Egerton Gardens in Knightsbridge expressed surprise on Tuesday last when an Uber driver laid out his prayer mat on their pavements.

An Uber driver was spotted praying in Egerton Gardens on Tuesday

Having parked his Toyota Prius and opened its boot, the man – whom one resident described as “perfectly polite” – prayed in full view of the most expensive houses in Britain for some considerable period of time. He seemed utterly at ease with his surroundings and harmed no one.

Another house owner told The Steeple Times: “I thought Muslims were meant to pray in ‘clean places’ only. I know we live in the Royal Borough but is our dusty street off the Brompton Road, really that?”

  1. These Muslim chappies, make it up, as they go along, and the silly Brits fall for it every time. There is no such religion as Islam,it doesn’t exist it’s a con-job to invade Europe. It’s a genius strategy made-up by a warrior name Mohammeds.
