Bienvenida Buck Thrice married and best known as the mistress of the Sir Peter Harding, Chief of the Defence Staff during the Gulf War, self-styled femme fatale Bienvenida Buck once commented: “The successful man is one who makes more than his wife can spend. And the successful woman is one who can find such a man”. In 2012, this Spaniard unsuccessfully sought to become Mayor of Liverpool and at the time told the Daily Mail: “I like who I am. I can sleep with my conscience and integrity. I do not regret what I had to do to survive. I am proud of the woman that I am today”.
