The pointless and the pathetic

Rebecca Richardson

Rebecca RichardsonThis Brighton resident announced she’d sue Brighton and Hove City Council in July 2014 after her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Scooby, slipped a disc whilst chasing a cat on council-owned land. Facing a £5,000 bill for the dog’s surgery, this benefit claimer argued that “the grass was too long” and that “they [the council] are completely liable for what happened”. Yet another example of “compensation culture gone mad”, Rebecca Richardson should be given a job with Network Rail: She’d be brilliant at coming up with excuses to go alongside “the wrong type of snow” and “leaves on the line”.

  1. It is going to the dogs……The dog is obviously obese and in a unfit and unhealthy state. It is a clear case of political correctness over ruling common sense. Monty Python stuff…….
