A 1965 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III Flying Spur for just £155,000
Buying grouse moors, yachts and classic cars are the pursuits of those who have bundles of spare cash. Generally, though the returns are extremely pleasurable, these luxuries eat money and consequently none are the hobbies of the faint hearted.
A 1965 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III Flying Spur for sale through Essex based Vintage & Prestige Fine Motors at £155,000 therefore represents what seems like an extremely good deal given that it has recently been subject to a £100,000 “painstaking ground up restoration” by Ristes Motors of Nottingham.
The car, finished in Dawn Blue, has covered just under 84,000 miles and is truly a masterpiece. It even has modern features such as air conditioning and a CD player – “tucked away discretely in the glove box” – and was the first car used to officially drive on the opening of the Edinburgh Bypass.
The 2013 Rolls-Royce Ghost starts at £170,250. We’d take this particular Silver Cloud III Flying Spur over one of those anyday.

What a true beauty. Another great find by The Steeple Times. Keep them coming.
Agreed: beautiful and elegant….unlike the horrible RR’s and Bentleys we see in the streets of today
Unlike modern rubbish which depreciates like a stone, these cars are actually going up in value & will show a good return after a few years of careful ownership. Not to mention the pleasure you will take from simply looking at it as it sits resplendent in your garage. Free Rolls Royce anyone????
