Super-injunction on reporting of a story of a ‘celebrity’ threesome lifted (but for now the individual still cannot yet be named)
On Monday afternoon, the Court of Appeal in London decided to lift a super-injunction relating to a ban on reporting of a story – that its participant has readily even admitted to be true – concerning a so-called ‘celebrity’ (named only as ‘PJS’) frolicking in pools of olive oil as part of a threesome.
In heeding to the request of News Group Newspapers and given the individual concerned has been named already everywhere from Scotland to the United States, progress has been made but there’s still a long yellow brick road to follow until the person’s identity can actually be released. For now, the English public must continue to wait as a decision from the highest court in the land is still required. ‘PJS’ will likely apply to that next but once The Supreme Court makes its decision, a scandal in the wind could and should truly be released.
