‘The Steeple Times’ highlights a shadowy evil lurking in our midst in Europe: Stille Hilfe
Whilst ISIS destroying world heritage sites in Syria is truly appalling, we should also realise that another form of evil exists closer to home. Coming in the form of a woman named Gudrun Burwitz, we must not forget that Nazism is still alive and sadly prospering.
As was reported in The Mirror last week, Burwitz – who has been dubbed the ‘Princess of Nazism’ – is the 85-year old daughter of Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler (1900 – 1945). This vile woman may look like a “lovable granny” but she is in fact a leading figure in a support group for Nazis on the run named Stille Hilfe (‘Silent Help”).
Treated with “the status of a star and an authority” at gatherings of this sinister organisation, “flamboyant Nazi princess” Burwitz told the newspaper: “I never talk about my work… I just do what I can”. Devoted to “demolishing the lies” she believes the Allies told about her father, Burwitz organised funds for the defence of Samuel Kunz, an SS man charged with complicity in the murders of 437,000 Jews in occupied Poland, and visited a brutal former concentration camp guard named Anton Malloth weekly prior to his death to take him fruit and chocolates.
We should never forget the evil wrought by Hitler and his cohorts and people like Gudrun Burtiz should be prosecuted for their despicable actions in aiding and abetting the continuation of Nazism also. Stille Hilfe is a silent evil and like ISIS, it must be for once and for all destroyed.
