Simon Danczuk MP needs to reassess his approach to dealing with the media; his estranged wife, meanwhile, would do well to ditch Louise Clifford and find a new PR
The Labour Member of Parliament for Rochdale Simon Danczuk is someone The Steeple Times has repeatedly saluted for his fair-minded support for victims of historic sexual abuse but in Sunday’s Mail on Sunday both him and his estranged wife, Karen, made fools of themselves in their obsessive desires to keep themselves in the press at any cost.
In an article about being summoned to the office of Jeremy Corbyn, Simon Danczuk shared tittle tattle damaging to Britain’s relationship with China in stating that the new Labour leader had told him that meeting President Xi Jinping at Buckingham Palace was was “one of the most boring nights I have ever had”. Whether Corbyn actually said this or not, sharing this remark is something a loyal party member ought not to have done and though Conservatives everywhere will salute him for highlighting how truly awful this “weird beard” is, he has only damaged his own party’s chance of gaining office anytime soon further.
Both Mr Danczuk and his estranged wife — a woman represented by the disgraced and jailed paedophile Max Clifford’s daughters firm Borne Media — love selfies and aside from him appearing in one with Corbyn to accompany his article, elsewhere the newspaper featured Karen Danczuk indulging in this vain activity. Plainly planted by the firm representing her, this utterly pointless article — which describes how Mrs Danczuk attended The Irish Post VIP Business Gala dinner in London on Friday and opened an Instagram account and went to the Selfie World Championship on Saturday — about sums up her usefulness to society. This duo both ought to reassess their approach to dealing with the media as all they’ve respectively achieved this week is to make themselves look utterly stupid. For that reason, we make them both our Wallies of the Week.
