“That b***h” Charlene Marshall finally nabs herself a £9.3 million chunk of the Astor fortune
On Wednesday, Charlene Marshall – better known as Miss Piggy and the third wife of the late convicted criminal Anthony Marshall (1924 – 2014) – struck gold when a judge ruled that she is entitled to what is left of the fortune of her late mother-in-law, Brooke Astor (1902 – 2007).
Despite 69-year old Mrs Marshall – who was married to Astor’s only child by her first marriage – being detested by her mother-in-law and simply referenced by her as “that b***h”, Thursday’s New York Post remarked that this Stepford Wife-esque woman is now “laughing all the way to the bank” after securing herself £9.3 million ($14.5 million, €13.2 million) in an uncontested will that cuts out Anthony Marshall’s two sons and grandchildren.
Twice married Charlene Marshall famously stood by her husband after his 2009 conviction for exploiting his mother’s dementia to loot her £128 million ($200 million, €182 million) fortune. He was eventually jailed in June 2013, granted parole just two months later due to ill health and died a little over a year later at the age of 90.
