Anything but Good

Manufacturing heir John Goodman returns to the stand and yet again illustrates his true character

Multi-millionaire John Goodman took the stand in the retrial of his DUI manslaughter conviction yesterday and claimed he wasn’t intoxicated when the Bentley he was driving ploughed into a Hyundai driven by a student named Scott Wilson in 2010 in Wellington, Florida.

John Goodman is a man who has repeatedly failed to take responsibility for his actions

Despite only one of eight experts agreeing with Goodman’s excuse that the brakes on his car malfunctioned, the polo mogul also told the court that he had only drunk a small amount of alcohol prior to the accident. He also denied seeing the canal where Wilson’s car ended up but failed to provide any explanation of why he didn’t call 911 until 55 minutes after the accident.

Goodman, it seems, is happy to blame everyone but himself for what happened that night. In doing so he piles yet more misery on the parents of Scott Wilson and his constant bleating about not having had a fair trial simply shows him for what he is: Shameless and arrogant.
