Galleries and auction houses circulate list of crashers
It’s official: The gatecrashers of London have their cards marked. The Steeple Times has been given the official list of “suspected gatecrashers” that is being circulated by the galleries and auction houses of London.
Naturally, many on the list – which comes complete with pictures –are known to us and have featured on our pages. Apart from David Pun, who is described as being someone whom “pretends he is interested in buying”, the roster numbers a whole array of names including:
John Barrett (allegedly of the Press Bureau)
Deborah Brick (allegedly of the Foreign & Commonwealth Office)
David Crafter
Denis Doble
John Floyd (allegedly of the BBC)
Virani Nizar
Best still is the “further description” section. One man is described as:
“A very greasy looking man in his 60’s with long frizzy grey hair stuck to his head that always comes in a jumper and has a satchell across his chest – almost no front teeth”.
Another is celebrated as:
“A blondish man in his late 40’s early 50’s who pretends to work for some magazine. Tall and thin and the most tiresome of the lot when ejected”.
Here is a group of creepy souls who should just stay at home in Cricklewood and Hounslow. Enough is enough. It’s time to auction the lot of them off.
