The Steeple Times asks actor Jack Shepherd (“Coronation Street’s” David Platt): “What’s on your mantelpiece?”
The Steeple Times shares “wit and wisdom”. What’s your guiding force?
Patience and optimism.
“Don’t get even, get medieval” is, in our humble opinion, a great motto. What’s yours?
Fail to prepare, prepare to fail.
Kerry Katona was considered unacceptable in 2007. Who or what is unacceptable in 2013?
In 2013 it is unacceptable that we don’t have hover boards yet.
Tony Blair misses being Prime Minister. What do you miss most in your life?
The sun. Never see it anymore.
What might you swap all your wealth for?
I haven’t got any wealth but if I did, I would swap it for more wealth. I like wealth.

Banking crisis? When?
What phrase or word do you most loathe?
“Smile, it might never happen”… It just has.
In the UK, some people consider charity to “begin at home”. What’s your view and what causes do you personally support?
I agree with that to a certain extent but I think it is a good idea to look out for the small charities. I am a patron of the PhysCap charity dedicated to improving the quality of life of children suffering from severe physical disabilities.

Jim Carey, Jack Nicholson, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Ricky Gervais, Brad Pitt and a couple of birds.
If you were unfortunate enough to end up on death row, what would be your last meal and where would you eat it?
Soup of any variety to start. I’m not fussed what it is but keep it small as I get full easily. I’ll then have a Sunday roast followed by mint choc ice cream. And a beer. And I would eat it in my cell obviously.
What time is it acceptable to consume the first drink of the day?
<<< 😉
A Negroni, a martini or a cup of tea?
Don’t know what the first one is. A martini? No, I’m not Bond so it’ll have to be a cup o’ tea.
Whose parties do you enjoy the most and why?
Parties? Hmm… That’s hard. I’m not much of a party guy. Probably Ryan Thomas’ (Coronation Street’s Jason Grimshaw).
Who is the most positive person you know?
My mum, I guess. She’s not really that positive but is more so than the rest. 🙂

Watching myself on television.

A monkey chucking a grenade and shrugging his shoulders.
