Hope, truth and desperation are contrasted in an image from Massachusetts
Our sometime contributor Kerri Moss Beaumont moved from London to Massachusetts late last year and in the time since she’s shared photographs of some of the stranger things she’s spotted on her Facebook page. Our Picture of the Week is an especially fine example.
The image, which shows two ClearChannel advertising hoardings, provides an example of two major features of American life: religion and distressed realty.
Combining “hope” in the form of a religious group suggesting you’ll meet God when you die and “desperation” in the shape of a company that buys “ugly houses”, here are two bizarre advertisers who could themselves do with a rebrand. We’ll pass on both their offerings.
