Hugh Bonneville shares his views on the self-satisfied classes
Hugh Bonneville can’t keep himself out of the papers. Even The Sun, in a radical departure from their normal entertainment coverage, bothered to review a play he is currently starring in and this week, on Radio 4, this British actor shared some insightful thoughts on the self-satisfied classes.
On Tuesday, Downton Abbey star Bonneville told Front Row’s Samira Ahmed:
“I think we can all recognize those figures who are in a position of authority and who are immensely proud and perhaps don’t really have the right to be so self-satisfied. And so we all, by human nature, like to see that bubble pricked occasionally”.
The prostitute Helen Wood will undoubtedly be most interested in these remarks and titleless David Furnish might also like to take note.
