The characters of social networking
In the first of a series, we take a look at the character types who use Facebook. These tribes include:
The predictable poster
“I’m at Barts” and “I’m off to see the doctor” number amongst their postings. These sorts don’t believe in spontaneity. They share utterly everything and they do it relentlessly.
The angry sort
These people share their frustrations at whim. The world has to know their anger. An example posting numbers: “So p**ed off today. F**k you all”. Someone should give them another gin.
The happy horror
“I’m so happy!” begins this exclamation loving sort. “I love…” they continue. Their enthusiasm is yawn enducing.
Outraged of W1
“This is outrageous. Why is it allowed to continue?” begins a status update from such a person. They campaign constantly but do their rants achieve anything? We think not.
The drop-in
Like the predictable poster, the type that drops in has to mention their visits to China Tang, Scott’s and The Ivy. They wouldn’t post if they were off to B&Q but a first class lounge tops their must mentionable.
The drop-out
Failure is their forte. Everything goes wrong for these people and its sadly to our woe that we must also learn of it also. Confine them to the nuthouse.
The link lover
These individuals share links at whim to generally irrelevant content. Most would rather be LinkedOut from their nonsense.
