Bernie Madoff’s boat on the market at a reduced price
Previously marketed at £2.7 million, Bernie Madoff’s Arno Leopard yacht, Bull, is again on the market. Priced this time at £1.6 million, the 27-metre boat is still in the hands of the joint liquidators of Madoff Securities and cost £5.1 million when built in 2007.
For sale with brokers Debutesq, the vessel is described as having accommodation for 6 guests in “three sumptuous en-suite cabins with additional crew quarters for three”. The boat is also said to be “one of the fastest sports cruisers on the market” and is described as being “in first class condition.
In their marketing spiel, though the brokers note: “For obvious reasons she has had very little use”, they’re more bullish about the boat’s future prospects. A source told The Telegraph’s City Diary that “four or five” viewings are scheduled at this week’s Monaco Yacht Show.
