‘The Steeple Times’ invites readers to attend its first panel debate and drinks reception where the topic will be: “What makes art sell?”
On the 2nd December, The Steeple Times will host the first in the series of panel debates for readers and their guests. Our first event will take place at the Library members’ club in Covent Garden where a panel of experts will discuss the topic: “What makes art sell?”

After a drinks reception commencing at 6.30pm, the panel – which will include Nolan Browne of TASCHEN, the photographer Cyrus Mahboubian, the artist Alexander Massouras and Oliver Newton of Koopman Rare Art – will take to the stage at 7pm for a 45-minute discussion with 15 minutes of questions afterwards.

Panelist Biographies:
Nolan Browne – Manager, TASCHEN Store London
Cyrus Mahboubian – Visual artist, photographer and filmmaker
Award-winning British artist, photographer and filmmaker Cyus Mahboubian has exhibited in London, Los Angeles, Moscow and Paris. He was awarded the position of artist-in-residence at the Gate Theatre by the Chelsea Arts Club Trust in 2014 and was compared to Éric Rohmer in terms of his “naturalistic style” later that year.
