Lamborghini LM 002 4×4 heads to auction
The Lamborghini loving Arabs who frequent Sloane Street could save themselves from having to purchase a Range Rover for their entourage by bidding on a baby blue Lamborghini LM 002 at Bonhams’ 28th April sale at London’s RAF Museum at Hendon.
The 1987 V12 vehicle, which has a guide of £80,000 to £120,000, was originally owned by the Italian racing driver Mario Ricci and is described as being an “ultimate expression of the excess of the 1980s”.
Time magazine voted the LM 002 one of the “worst cars of all time” on the basis of the “appalling clientele” who purchased it. Owners numbered Uday Hussein, HRH King Hassan II of Morocco and Ayrton Senna.
