Perfect ‘his’ and ‘hers’ cars for billionaires with mega yachts offered by Neiman Marcus as part of a charity benefit
Each year since 1926, Neiman Marcus have produced what they call the Christmas Book and in this year’s they have produced a ‘fantasy list’ that will benefit charities including The Heart of Neiman Marcus Foundation and the GRAMMY Foundation.
Amongst the items offered are a pair of cars that are modern day reinterpretations of such things as the Mini Moke, the Hustler and the Fiat 850 Spiagetta. Built by Island Car Limited in Florida specially for Neiman Marcus and bedecked in Lilly Pulitzer prints, one is presented in a “crisp, custom green colour” whilst the other is “pretty in pink”.
Weighing less than a thousand pounds each, the 100% electric lithium battery operated cars are described as being “perfect for taking on most yachts, just as the glitterati did back when”. They also come with Bose speakers and Bluetooth capabilities.
A standard Island Car starts at £42,500 ($52,000 or €47,800) whilst the company’s website shows designs for a speedster version that will cost £50,700 ($62,000 or €57,000).
