Third gold wrapped vehicle spotted in Knightsbridge
The Ferrari wrapped in gold foil that bubbled up and peeled off was eclipsed in its ridiculousness last week by a gold and black Bugatti Veyron. Now, the collection has expanded with the arrival of a gold Range Rover.
Valued at around £150,000, the customised Hamann Mystere Range Rover was spotted parked at The Wellesley Hotel – famous for charging £75 for three small bottles of water. Sporting a Saudi Arabian number plate, the 4×4 features blacked out windows and of it, one local resident told the Mail Online:
“Range Rovers don’t normally stand out because there are so many of them in London, but this one is different”.
“You can’t miss it. It is amazing that the owner, who must be quite rich, decided to have it wrapped gold coloured. It is so eye-catching, but I don’t think it will be winning any style awards”.
“It was parked next to a Rolls-Royce Ghost, and you hardly noticed the Roller. It is not often that a Rolls-Royce looks like the understated car”.
We somehow doubt that this Range Rover will be gracing any grouse moor on the Glorious Twelfth however.
