18th century house in a “fairytale” setting beside the famous River Itchen chalkstream is not quite what one would expect
The main façade of Lower Chilland House in Martyr Worthy, four miles east of Winchester gives little clue as to what has been created inside.
A Grade II listed, 18th century, Georgian, chequerwork brick house, one might expect to be decorated with Laura Ashley and de Gournay wallpaper, but this is quite something else.
