It is right that Oscar Pistorius has been convicted of culpable homicide   This morning Oscar Pistorius was convicted of culpable homicide – the South African equivalent of the UK’s manslaughter charge – and one charge relating to a restaurant shooting. That he showed no emotion as he was convicted is telling.
