‘Daily Mail’ columnist Amanda Platell proves herself to be nothing but a bombastic bigot with a mouth the size of Australia and a brain the size of a pea
Gobby Aussie hack Amanda Platell just can’t help but upset people. This former spinner for William Hague has got ever worse since the Daily Mail gave her leg room at what she calls her “spiritual home” in 2002, but, yesterday, this bitter Aussie broad distastefully belittled black people by trying to have a bit of fun with the Justin Trudeau ‘blacking up’ scandal.
Amongst the drivel in her angrily scribed ‘column’ this week, Platell – a divorced Katie Hopkins-like woman whose previous masters have included the pension robber Robert Maxwell – cringeworthily compared her own experiences of ‘blacking up’ to that of Trudeau.
She announced: “When I nabbed dad’s black shoe polish back in Australia in the sixties to complete the Aladdin’s genie outfit mum had made from some old Terylene curtains, he chided me… That was his last tin of shoe polish.”
Platell, in suggesting a tin of shoe polish is worth more than offending decent people anywhere, has (yet again) gone too far. Any platitude she now offers will not be enough. Shame on her: It is time for ‘Pointless Platell’ to quit our shores; it is time for this ghastly bigot to take the slow boat back to Oz.
