“An amalgam of British, Irish and American”, twice married actress Angela Lansbury was born in London and has a career that has spanned seven decades. The daughter of a Communist, Lansbury is best known as the star of the long running series Murder, She Wrote (1984 – 1996) and now lives between Ireland, Los Angeles and New York. She holds the record for the most Primetime Emmy losses by a performer but of her career once stated: “Here I am, I still go on, you know, like the tides”.
