Hillingdon based Jack Duffin was selected to stand as UKIP’s candidate in Uxbridge and South Ruislip in the May 2015 General Election. Of his Conservative rival, Duffin has stated: “[Boris] Johnson is a Bullingdon boy, he’s got nothing in common with the area and he’s going to use [Uxbridge] as a stepping stone on his way to becoming Prime Minister”. Formerly a chef, Duffin believes in “an Australian style points system for immigration” and a “simple” Hong Kong style tax system. He was labelled “surprisingly normal” by The Spectator.
