An abstract artist, former model and animal rights campaigner. Born near Chicago, Black rejected his Jehovah’s Witness upbringing at the age of 17. His 2012 “Leather Bound in Black or Red” collection about his family’s transition away from the religion attracted great interest and collectors of his works number the American footballer Jay Cutler and Kari Kennell Whitman, former Playboy Playmate turned interior designer.
