The hostess of “the event of the season”, mother of six Lady Annabel Goldsmith’s summer garden party at her home, Ormeley Park on the edge of Richmond Park, is attended by the great and the good. The eponym for London’s most iconic nightclub of the 20th century, twice married Lady Annabel is a descendant of the Londonderry family and was named after her mother’s favourite song, Miss Annabel Lee. Of this striking social dynamo, Town & Country magazine concluded: “You don’t get a world-famous nightclub named after you for nothing”.
