Nicknamed the “Scrummy Soprano” and “The Knockout” by Prince Harry, Suffolk born Laura Wright is a “classical crossover singer”. After winning a BBC Radio 2 Chorister of the Year award in 2005 aged 15, Wright’s career has rocketed and her first headline show at the Royal Albert Hall in 2013 was a sell-out. Aside from music, this Framlingham College educated daughter of a financial adviser plays rugby for Rosslyn Park and likes to run and cycle. Of comments about her stunning looks, she remarks: “Strong is the new skinny”.
