Leah ChaseThis New Orleans chef famously told off President Obama when he tried to add hot sauce to her gumbo. Leah Chase has owned and run her renowned Dooky Chase restaurant since 1941 and has also cooked for President George W. Bush, Duke Ellington, Jesse Jackson and Quincy Jones. She views food to be her “ministry” and is said to be the inspiration for the Disney character Tiana from The Princess and the Frog.
