Rare Ferrari Riva boat to be auctioned in Monaco
The result of the collaboration of two great Italian brands, Ferrari and Riva, a 1990 Riva Ferrari 32 will be auctioned by RM Sotheby’s in Monaco on the 14th May.
The boat, the 28th of just 30 built is, as its name suggests, 32-foot in length and presented in as good as new condition. Its sleeping cabin and water closet have never been used and it has been captained for just 78 hours. Capable of speeds of up to 62 miles per hour, its auctioneer describes it as “a unique and very exotic addition to any dock”.
Offered without reserve, the rather fetching red Riva has a pre-sale estimate of £142,000 to £174,000 ($201,000 to $246,000 or €180,000 to €220,000).
Update: 15th May 2016: Sold for a far lower sum than the lower estimate for just £63,600 ($91,300 or €80,640).
