The Tout’s tips for the 2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneagles
The time has come and the excitement is tangible with the arrival of this year’s Ryder Cup. This biannual grudge match between Europe and the USA was first held in 1929 and has provided some of the most memorable moments in the sport.
Team Europe are the firm favourites to lift the cup at 1/2 with Team USA at 15/8 and whilst The Tout is one of the most patriotic and fervent of European supporters he suggests a win bet on USA. The reasoning is that they have some great rookies on the team plus the advantage of not having Tiger Woods on board.
It is always tempting to find the top individual scorer and The Tout favours Sergio Garcia at 13/2. He is in fine form at the moment and always performs well in the cup. Let’s hope for a tight contest at the immaculate and recently refurbished Gleneagles.
Next weekend we have The Arc at Longchamps and we will analyse that race for you at the end of next week.
