With classes offered for free and organised at the behest of the Indian Prime Minister Narenda Modi, over 177 countries around the world are taking part. In London, events run from 9.30am to 2.30pm.

In my view, when you are more aware of yourself and become more compassionate towards yourself, you become more aware and compassionate towards your world. Yoga offers a way to get rid of emotional baggage by touching your toes and I urge those with an interest to come along and experience it for themselves.
