The Prince of Wales sportingly joined in with a game of table tennis and tried out an exercise bike during the official opening of a new sports centre on the Dumfries House Estate this week
The Prince of Wales showed himself to be a good sport on Wednesday when he played table tennis at a new sports centre at Dumfries House in Cumnock, East Ayreshire.
Known as The Duke of Rothesay in Scotland, The Prince also joined a class of local women on exercise bikes and partook in a spot of badminton. Of his enthusiasm, spin class instructor Sharon McQuillan remarked:
“I can’t believe he got on the bike – that was great. I was really surprised because it’s a hard class and it’s even hard just to get on the bike. Maybe he’ll come back soon and do a full class, I’m sure he could last it, no problem, although I don’t think he should wear his suit”.
“When you’ve got young grandchildren you need to be able to get down on the floor and back up again so I’ll be good for him to take part”.
At 66, The Prince is living life to the full and our Picture of the Week clearly shows him as the grandfather to keep up with. Well done that man.
