Run Sarb Run! World record attempt for most half-marathons in 30 days

‘The Steeple Times’ urges readers to support Sarb Singh Dhanoa’s attempt to break the world record for running the most half-marathons in 30 days

Aside from being a supporter of the International Fund for Animal Welfare and rather liking a fine malt whisky of an evening, Ickenham, Middlesex based businessman Sarbjit ‘Sarb’ Singh Dhanoa loves to run – and boy does he run.

Mr Dhanoa, who took up running during the first 2020 lockdown, has just embarked on an attempt to break the world record for running the most half-marathons in 30 days this September whilst also raising funds for the NishkamSWAT homeless charity. The record is currently held by Salacnib Molina of Minnesota, United States of America who managed to achieve a total of 20 in 2020.

Dhanoa will run as many times as he can on an authorised and measured route. He plans to run every single day during the month and is thus aiming for a total of 30 runs.

Remarking of why he is doing this, “in high spirits” about his attempt Dhanoa commented:

“My beloved dog Jack passed away last month and I wanted to do this in his memory and also to do something good to inspire wellbeing and mental health amongst others.”

“I’m ready to break the world record and want others to join me on my runs. People are welcome to join me and run for as long or as little as they wish and I hope they’ll enjoy helping me and the NishkamSWAT charity as I pound the pavements.”

Aside from running – which he does a lot of – Mr Dhanoa enjoys fine dining, travel, a gin and tonic and a whisky or three.
