Chelsea restaurant La Brasserie launch new £15.95 set lunch menu

 

Set menus are the flavour of the month and chef Jamie Smith of La Brasserie in Chelsea, London has just introduced one that has been described as being “varied and of broad appeal”. They have priced it at just £15.95 per person for two courses and also offer a Perrier-Jouët and Grand Marnier cocktail for £9.50 for those wishing to begin with something a little indulgent.

Starters:

 

Soup du jour – Seasonal soup

 

Écrevisses and mango salade – Crayfish and mango salad with piquello peppers and quinoa

 

Tarte au fromage de chèvre – Spinach, squash and goat’s cheese tart with salad and a balsamic dressing

 

Carpaccio de boeuf – Beef carpaccio with rocket and Parmesan

 

Mains:

 

Salade de maquereau et pommes nouvelle tièdes – Warm salad of Jersey new potatoes, smoked mackerel, baby beets and horseradish dressing

 

Contre-filet grille (supplement: £3) – 6oz sirloin steak with chips and bernaise sauce

 

Raviolis ricotta et épinards – Spinach and ricotta ravioli with sage butter

 

Haddock fumé – Smoked haddock hash with leeks, a poached egg and a whole grain mustard hollandaise

 

The menu is offered between 12 noon and 6pm, Monday to Friday.
