As coronavirus panic buying hits supermarkets, Tesco show they’ve lost the plot when it comes to pricing Birds Eye fish fingers
Tesco operates by the mantra that “Every Little Helps,” but at a time when their customers are raiding the shelves for bog roll, paracetamol and tinned goods, it seems this 6,800 store chain has got itself a bit confused about pricing.
In the freezer aisle of one of their superstores, we spotted a bit of an anomaly in that 30 Birds Eye fish fingers were priced at £6 whilst 10 could be had for £1 per pack (i.e. 30 for £3).
Plainly the mind of an employee at their Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire headquarters got a bit addled. Maybe it was all that Omega 3 that did it.
