Baroness Marie-Claire von Alvensleben gets off with a suspended sentence
“Don’t kick a dog when it’s down” is a commonly used phrase, but in the case of ‘Baroness’ Marie Claire von Alvensleben I’ll make an exception given that she only received a six week jail sentence, suspended for twelve months, for her racist tirade last December. This vicious bigot should, instead, have been made to do hard labour.
Widely reported in such titles as the Daily Mail and Telegraph this morning, von Alvensleben’s antics in the courtroom are indicative of the fact that she is a woman who hasn’t learnt. In court, for example, it was claimed that she had “no more than two glasses of wine” that evening. This is not true as I personally witnessed her drinking several glasses of champagne earlier that night at an event at Niquesa & Co in West Eaton Place.
The arrogant baroness, whom I once saw become aggressive on being evicted from a private house party in nearby Cadogan Place, also claims to have “no recollection at all as to what happened”. This, in my view is nonsense, as the next morning when I saw von Alvensleben in Pont Street, she crossed the road and hid from me rather than coming to apologise for having called me “English trash” and my friend “a Jewish pig” at the Niquesa event. When I spoke to her this Monday, the excuses were: “I cannot be held responsible for things I do not remember” and “I crossed the road as I had to get on a bus”. There are no bus stops in Pont Street.
Originally von Alvensleben was due to appear at Southwark Crown Court this morning but unfortunately as the case was moved to Hammersmith Magistrates’ Court and held yesterday, I did not attend. I very much wish I had known as I would have liked to have seen justice served to this nasty piece of work. Judge Fudge, in sentencing, commented:
“What concerns me is the foul, unpleasant and abusive language used against other patrons of the hotel, there is no excuse whatsoever”.
The judge ought to have set an example and sent this associate of the “Tom Ripley of the hotel industry” Andrew Davis to prison given that von Alvensleben has previously received a conditional discharge for assaulting a police officer. That this “failed publisher” was fined just £165 and given a suspended sentence is shocking. Mail Online reader ‘paulineio’ of Hull summed up what should have happened perfectly:
“Where is the justice in that??????!!!!! I have always said that punishment should be means tested £165 PEANUTS, she should be punnished [sic] and shamed. give her some community service scrubbing toilets, picking up litter and working in a soup kitchen for a month, that would sort her out!!!! (yes barroness [sic] I am White and you should be ashamed!!!)”
Marie-Claire von Alvensleben’s hateful remarks about “blacks, Arabs, Asians and Jews” on the 4th December 2013 reminded me of the lyrics of Rucka Rucka’s song Whutchu Jewin? This bigoted pair belong together and should get a room: Preferably in Siberia. I hope never to encounter Marie-Claire von Alvensleben ever again.

Ban her from Britain. Ban her for good.
She’s such a pitiful excuse for a human being. I agree, your punishment suggestions are far better and more fitting than the slap on the wrist fine and a delayed sentence. It’s such a shame individuals like that are permitted to exist among the rest of humanity. Sadly, I think this little act was actually tame, considering that she’s thrown people down flights of stairs, threatened lives and broken bones.
The Baroness and Rebekah Brooks missed the same bus. They will probably be patrons of the same charity (C.N.A.) Cripple Nipple Association.
