Shamed baroness spotted shopping in Waitrose Belgravia
Our editor expected it unlikely to cross paths with the shamed criminal Baroness Marie-Claire von Alvensleben after her conviction on Wednesday. He was, therefore, more than surprised to encounter her in Waitrose Belgravia on Thursday evening just before 9pm.
On the same day, Von Alvensleben attracted over 200 negative comments on the Mail Online’s message boards ranging from suggestions such as “someone spiked her drink… with alcohol” to “she should be inside”. Others described her as a “racist battleaxe” and a “hateful woman”. Less than five comments were vaguely supportive of her.
An image of this Swiss-Belgian in Britain’s smartest supermarket just one day after her conviction speaks volumes. It shows her to be anything but “penniless” (as she claims) but equally illustrates that her five star lifestyle may have come to an end. This nasty bigot is now rightly banned from all decent establishments in the vicinity and for that reason, the image of her seeking out bargains in a supermarket just had to be our Picture of the Week. Kerry Katona would be proud.

Note: She is stood next to the alcohol. Given her conviction, does this badly dressed woman not learn? She gave me her business card once. I’d been next to her for 30 seconds.
This dirty cow needs a dose of the birch. She is a racist, a bigot and a bad, bad woman. Anyone who defends her needs a dose of the birch too.
She is an evil woman. I hope she rots in hell.
