A whirlwind of energy accompanies Nancy Dell’Olio wherever she goes. Personable and always immaculately presented, here is a New York born lawyer who was formerly the ‘First Lady of Football’. London based and multi-lingual, Dell’Olio appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2011 and famously once told The Telegraph: “They haven’t seen anybody like me and they never have seen again”.
I sat next to her at an opera awards dinner. She was charming and polite. Rather reserved…however maybe that’s because, as I’m told (although I can’t see it myself) I’m a bit nutty! I was wearing an elaborate white silk / good lace meringue-impression dress which could have been the fairy at the top of tree.
Not sure if her quiet manner was a response to her at the time jet-lag, or a response to me! In any case, she looked super in her traditional black and elegantly unique up-hairstyle :o) she was a beauty at which to look and a pleasure to have at our table.
p.s. I’ve just noticed – great picture of her at The Ivy above! She always looks lovely and I love it when people make an effort with their presentation!
Well, If Nance takes as long as me over ‘presentation’ she would never be able to get to any ‘Opera Awards Dinner’.
And, yes, judging from what you have written she may well have decided to keep her distance….there are stalkers everywhere…
A fascinating and beautiful woman who should be made a DBE and given a Grace and Favour flat.
Doubtless, she is a UKIP member
She is fabulous. A wonderful choice.
I agree with Rod. She is SUPER.
Nancy is lovely and very approachable
The only occasion on which I saw her on her own; she was standing outside the chic Dior Boutique in the Port area of St Tropez, in the early evening, admiring a blue duffel coat….I’m sure that one of her admirers united the coat with her lovely being
Well, doubtless. She certainly nearly succeeded in uniting Sven’s flat with lovely self
