What is Lorem Ipsum?
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Why do we use it?
It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for 'lorem ipsum' will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).

Where can I get some?
There are many variations of passages of Lorem Ipsum available, but the majority have suffered alteration in some form, by injected humour, or randomised words which don't look even slightly believable. If you are going to use a passage of Lorem Ipsum, you need to be sure there isn't anything embarrassing hidden in the middle of text. All the Lorem Ipsum generators on the Internet tend to repeat predefined chunks as necessary, making this the first true generator on the Internet. It uses a dictionary of over 200 Latin words, combined with a handful of model sentence structures, to generate Lorem Ipsum which looks reasonable. The generated Lorem Ipsum is therefore always free from repetition, injected humour, or non-characteristic words etc.

Shopping with Pun

Party-loving David Pun finds fame in Queensway’s Food Basics Oriental Superstore for all the wrong reasons; for him, it’s a far cry from Harvey Nicks

David Pun is well known on London’s party scene and for the claims he makes about his connections to the families that own Harvey Nichols and The Peninsula Hotels. Like fellow liggers Eva Harold, Sandra Shevey and Dennis Doble, he’s extremely partial to a gift bag but now, it seems, he’s achieved fame at the Food Basics Oriental Superstore in Queensway, W2 also.

Spotted by a reader on Sunday, Mr Pun features in a picture montage on a wall of the shop in images taken from the supermarket’s CCTV footage.

When asked why the pictures were there, a worker remarked: “Shoplifting happens a lot here” but declined to comment on exactly what the assorted selection of visitors had been helping themselves to.

  1. I’ve seen him helping himself on many occasions.

Eva Harold is just as bad. I’ve seen The Stove in the aisles of Waitrose harassing innocent shoppers minding their own business. Though everyone tries to hide, not many escape her clutches.

What is it with these nutcase fruitcakes and supermarkets? Perhaps they go there to keep warm.

  2. Lock him up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lock him up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lock him up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lock him up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lock him up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lock him up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lock him up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lock him up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lock him up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lock him up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lock him up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1. Wow! For the first time ever, I find myself agreeing with Rod. “Lock him up” is indeed the answer. This rotter is someone we should not have in our midst.

  3. Eva looks like a female Donald Trump. Denis looks like he’s downed a pint of claret. David looks like he needs to learn to tie his bow tie properly.

  4. That this man continues to gain entry to all kinds of things is very shocking. What are party organisers thinking in letting him past their clipboards? They should surely know what happens next.

  5. David Pun is at virtually every event I go to in London. I feel very sorry for the organisers as it costs them money to put on events and all he does is take their food and drink. What does he contribute? The answer is nothing.

  6. The shop should give this article to the police. He deserves to be sent down if he did steal. Bring David Pun to trial.

  7. From your previous articles I assumed Mr Pun was a bit of fun and just a naughty boy who crashed parties. Now, I am bound to change my mind. He should be arrested, charged and punished. I would favour a trip to the stocks and some rotten tomatoes but I guess he’d enjoy them too much given he likes free food.

  8. I saw Mr Pun at an event at TAPE the other day, we didn’t stay long, not even a drink as it served no purpose. He attended one of my charity art events once which was an auction to raise critical funding for Teens Unite, he took up over one hour of our teams time, cost the charity a fortune in effect and even though he bid for an item when we expressed pleasure in telling him he had won he disappeared off the face of the earth. A very strange individual and I like many am amazed that anybody allows him in to their events.

  9. David Pun is a genius! A very recognised face. The fact that he is still getting into high end places means that he must be worth something!!!

Question for Richard. Why didn’t you stop him or have him thrown out of the charity event? There must be something attractive about him.

To get into events as he does for year in year out is genius!!!

If organisers are foolish enough to let him then stop complaining.

    Lol

    1. I have done my best to highlight that his activities are not “lighthearted fun”. If only people would pay attention. This photograph shows Pun for what he really is and if people continue to choose to let him and the likes of Eva Harold in, they do so at their own peril.
