Davide Boncimino of Mr Fogg’s wins La Brasserie’s third inter-bar cocktail competition
On Sunday evening, La Brasserie’s third inter-bar cocktail competition was won by David Boncimino from the Mayfair bar Mr Fogg’s.
The contest – which was judged by the well-known Italian British personality and sugar-free limoncello brand creator Nancy Dell’Olio, actor and former Emmerdale star Lyndon Ogbourne, La Brasserie’s head chef John Paul Murphy, the Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Lettice Rowbotham and Matthew Steeples, editor of The Steeple Times – also featured entries from Jurgen Mudveins from Forge Bar, Benedict Abdalla Ghosn from the Keystone Crescent Members’ Club, Alex Flores of La Brasserie, James Chandler of McQueen, Sam Mitchell of the Marriott London County Hall, Ivalylo Gerasimov of Salmontini and Julian Bolenz of The Wellington Club.
Aureum (golden in Latin), the winning drink, was made with VII Hills Gin and Chinotto Quaglia liqueur. The judges were especially impressed by Boncimino’s presentation and aside from his prize of a bottle of Dom Perignon, his drink will now appear on the cocktail menu at La Brasserie for the next three months.
