Bill MartinThis acclaimed Glaswegian songwriter and impresario is best known for having written Congratulations and Puppet On A String. A resident of Belgravia, Bill Martin has worked with everyone from Billy Connolly to Van Morrison, has been presented with three Ivor Novello Awards and at one time owned Kenwood, the former home of John Lennon. He and his charming wife Jan are often to be found dining at Motcombs with their great friends Philip and Rosalie Lawless.

    Memsaab and I met him at Colbert,some months ago.
    We were sitting next to him and his doctor and we spent an hour and a half having the greatest craic.
