Chelsea revealed to be London’s most popular residential address and not just “a place where servants live”
Whilst in March, estate agents Beauchamp Estates announced that Chelsea is “a place where servants live”; a more recent analysis by local firm Russell Simpson has found quite to the contrary and provides proof that it is “London’s most popular residential address”.
Chelsea – which covers an area of 4.68 square miles or 2,965 acres and has a population of 158,300 – the report suggests, has “outsold all other ultra prime London areas over the last 12 months”. As evidence, they quote Lonres figures that show there have been 478 sales in Chelsea (of which 57 were for over £5 million) in the last 12 months compared to 340 in the nearest rival, Kensington (where 44 were for over £5 million).
Average prices in the area come in at £2,396 per square foot, which though significantly lower than neighbouring locations such as Belgravia, Knightsbridge and Mayfair make Chelsea very much an upstairs rather than a downstairs place to live.

What a silly comment about servants. I hope these oligarchs have their homes and yachts confiscated. It is criminal what they did to that plane and an example needs to be set.
