It is time that the Labour politician Keith Vaz asked himself some questions about his role in protecting the alleged paedophile Lord Janner
Keith Vaz is a politician continually linked with controversy and in today’s The Observer Jay Rayner was right to highlight the role of this expenses lover in protecting the alleged paedophile turned most convenient dementia sufferer Lord Janner.
In his article today and another last Sunday, Rayner highlighted how he had been shown incriminating evidence against Janner, then Labour MP for Leicester West, in the 1990s and that Keith Vaz, the MP for the neigbouring Leicester East constituency, had described his “dear friend” as a “victim of a cowardly and wicked attack”. Soon after, Rayner suggests, “the story was dead… It was just never spoken of again”.
Vaz, who was himself suspended from the House of Commons for one month in 2002 for making false allegations against a policewoman, Rayner points out, now presents himself “as a champion of the voiceless, happy to castigate the Home Office over its handling of the current investigation into child abuse”. In reality, however, as Keith Vaz pompously presides over the Commons home office affairs select committee, it is perhaps our most worthy Wally of the Week who should be asking himself some questions about why he chose to speak up for a truly vile alleged paedophile.

They are both bad bad men.
Vaz is a creepy person and he seems to attract controversy. Why do Labour not deselect him? Well – He knows where the bodies are buried doesn’t he?!!!!!!!!!! Shame on Mililivered.
One is tempted to enquire………’
Where do they get these people; why are the able to rise without trace, and how come ARE they NEVER brought to book
‘ Matt you ‘………….has a ‘ nose ‘ for these people …………
They will ALL go to hell in a hand cart.
Another Baddie who thinks he’s playing in Bollywood movies!
Matthew should be congratulated for keeping the spotlight on vile people like Janner. Reading the heart rending account of the early life of this young boy, raped by this monster, was tear jerking. Bad enough not to know who your parents are and end up in a soulless children’s home, but then to be exploited by this evil man…
Interestingly, the characterless John Gummer has been defending his late friend, Leon Brittan.
I wrote to Gummer suggesting that he should resign from public life were Brittan found guilty. I received a furious response. Gummer could not answer the simple question…”if Brittan has nothing to fear why did he not consult lawyers over the numerous accusations levelled at him over the years”. Gummer was unable to answer. No smoke without an active fire.
