A reclusive chain-smoking heiress, Lisa du Pont Moseley is best known for her connections to the 1998 murder of Pati Margello, the prostitute girlfriend of her son Simpson Dean MacGuigan. Wilmington, Delaware based and thrice married du Pont Moseley enjoys gardening and golf and is known as “Lady Chatterley” due to her 1989 union with her former gardener, Christopher Moseley (1941 – 2004). When told the police wished to interview her in connection with Margello’s death, du Pont Moseley sarcastically stated: “I can’t wait”. Whilst Moseley was convicted for his part in the murder in 2000 and sentenced to 16½ years in jail, he took the story of any involvement of the du Pont family in general and his wife in particular to his grave. Lisa du Pont Moseley, meanwhile, continues to refuse to comment on the matter.
