An evening showcase of Chavín Jewellery with a barbecue by Le ‘Bab
On Monday 1st June, Simon Ogilvie-Harris of Chavín Jewellery and Matthew Steeples of The Steeple Times co-hosted a jewellery trunk show barbecue on the roof terrace of an Imperial Wharf penthouse.
Aside from enjoying what one attendee described as one of the “most divine barbecues” they’d ever tried by the forthcoming avant-garde kebab concept Le ‘Bab, guests beat a path to the bar to try gin and tonics with a twist by VII Hills London Dry Gin and Fentimans and rather appropriately named Chelsea Blonde – given the large number of ladies present with hair of that colour – beers by The London Beer Factory. The booze flowed well past the specified 9pm ending into the early hours and amongst those last to depart were La Brasserie’s Suzie Cooke and a visitor all the way from Oxford, Julie Randall.
Others in attendance on the night numbered Bhavna Ahluwalia and her husband – all the way in from Australia for the occasion – and from Canada, Sheila Ogilvie, mother of Simon Ogilvie-Harris, Chavín Jewellery’s founder. Legendary photographer John Stoddart added an element of dapper whilst The Archers’ late Nigel Pargetter, Graham Seed, and his elegant partner, producer and actress Denise Silvey, brought with them a little culture. The jewellery shone and the guests glittered and a great time was had by all.
