As Michael Barrymore announces he is to sue the police who arrested him for an alleged murder, it is time he instead took responsibility for his actions
Disgraced entertainer Michael Barrymore is a man incapable of taking responsibility for his actions and in suing the police who arrested him in connection with the death of a meat factory supervisor named Stuart Lubbock in his swimming pool in 2001, he again proves himself as nothing other than arrogant and anything but the “victim” of a “trophy arrest”.
Barrymore – who now goes by his real name, Michael Parker, but who still tweets as @MrBarrymore to his 31,000 followers on Twitter – was arrested quite legitimately after being twice previously accused of male rape and once also for allegedly indecently assaulting a man. Though these allegations were never proven, Essex Police continue to claim that the “evidence [presented to them] tended to suggest that the claimant was interested in and/or capable of violent sex”. That Stuart Lubbock’s body was so badly injured also and that Michael Barrymore fled the house prior to the police arriving led to a perfectly reasonable series of questions as to what occurred that night. Equally, for a man so keen to restore his reputation, Barrymore has since been bankrupted in 2004, fined for cocaine possession in 2011 and left creditors of his clothing company owed £60,000 in 2014. Here is not a pillar of the community; here, instead, is a car crash of a man who is nothing but a pathetic, self-centred attention seeker.
Having gone as far as to remark: “I’m still a big star, I’m just not on the telly”, Barrymore has also stated that he blames Rupert Murdoch for sabotaging his career. He is wrong: Michael Barrymore has no one but himself to blame for his fate and it is time that he accepted that. His case against the police should be thrown out.

Well done for showing him on he floor with the Eurotrash racist!!!!!!!! Both of them are disgraced and belong together in a sewage pit!!!!!!!!!
Whilst I do not condone any of M Barrymore’s actions or wish to comment on his affairs. I would like to make the point to those that have never been involved with police action there there ARE definitely “trophy arrests” and “publicity fuel led charges” I too would not have believed they existed until I saw for myself. Innocent people can be charged with offences and used as “leverage ” to obtain confessions from others ! A known ploy of prosecuting agencies that is also known to the legal professionals! They all end up closing ranks if complaints are made . I was told by a legal rep , ” you can’t challenge the upper echelons of the legal profession ” and boy was he right. If they want you , they’ll get you! Justice does not come into it! Joe Oublic has no idea what goes on !
Every time he opens his mouth he adds another nail to his coffin. He’s typical of the school of thought that he can do whatever he wants but as soon as he’s picked up on something he might not have done, he blames everyone but himself and bleats about how unfaiiiiiiiiir it is. I’ve no respect for him, He’s not a man at all.
He must know what happened and should work with the police, the poor parents need closure.
What a disgusting man Barrymore is.
