Super-injunction on reporting of a story of a ‘celebrity’ threesome lifted (but for now the individual still cannot yet be named)
On Monday afternoon, the Court of Appeal in London decided to lift a super-injunction relating to a ban on reporting of a story – that its participant has readily even admitted to be true – concerning a so-called ‘celebrity’ (named only as ‘PJS’) frolicking in pools of olive oil as part of a threesome.
In heeding to the request of News Group Newspapers and given the individual concerned has been named already everywhere from Scotland to the United States, progress has been made but there’s still a long yellow brick road to follow until the person’s identity can actually be released. For now, the English public must continue to wait as a decision from the highest court in the land is still required. ‘PJS’ will likely apply to that next but once The Supreme Court makes its decision, a scandal in the wind could and should truly be released.

Well, it probably wasn’t Sir Peter O’Sullevan
Everyone knows who it is anyway, unless they don’t have an internet connection. It was all over the USA press, and on the internet. We all know who it is, and talk about it in private, in pubs, etc, but not in real life.
Living in the the UK is like, is like living in ‘Alice in Wonderland’. Judges making silly rules. Queens frolicking in oils, and the Mad Hatter.
I don’t know who it us please let me know as I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep tonight. LoL
Slippery little devils.
Y A W N………………….!!!
Is it the big fat ugly slob who ‘im thinking about at this very moment?! If it is him, i hope the two little boys are not part of the act.
This ludicrous farce is reminiscent of the Wallis Simpson/Prince of Wales story in the mid 1930s – when the US and other nation’s media reported their affair freely but the UK press agreed not to. I naïvely thought such days of treating the British public like simpletons were long gone but alas no!
The actions of the judges in this case are making a mockery of our judicial system. Ah well, come Wednesday I hope it will all be over and we’ll be able to rock it, man…
I couldn’t be less interested, I ‘m off down the yellow brick road.
Latest news is that the Supreme Court has agreed to hear one final appeal, so it looks as though this farce is going to drag on for a while longer…..getting more and more absurd.
For my part, I don’t care so much about PJS’s sex life or how many people were involved (although it’s admittedly a waste of good olive oil).
However, what I do find despicable is that this celebrity couple have been using their children as an excuse to secure the injunction – arguing that they want to spare them humiliation. Anyone who knows the identity of the couple will also know that they have already selfishly set those children up for issues later on in life.
I don’t think I’ll be giving too much away if I said that I have doubts as to whether the more famous half of the celebrity couple will live to see those children grow up. Not necessarily due to age, but also because this person really does not look healthy at all.
I am reminded of the libel action mounted by Kate and Gerry McCann against Dr Goncalo Amaral over his book “The Truth of the Lie”. that was rejected on Tuesday. They didn’t get his house and got nothing. In fact they are ordered to pay all legal expenses out of their Limited Company “Fund”. The Ridiculous Couple are now threatening to sue anyone in the UK who sells what is a perfectly legal book, and which is now back on sale in Portugal. They are to appeal to the Supreme Court in Portugal over the judgement but I wouldn’t be feeling too optimistic of success if it was me. Public support for them has dwindled as more and more people question the issues such as child neglect, the findings of the blood and cadaver dogs, and major inconsistencies in the tales told by the McCanns. The cupboard is becoming bare. Goncalo is now biting back with his own legal actions and I hope he succeeds. The Internet is a tough court of public opinion and those who mess with it generally get burnt.
