The Tout’s tips for the 1000 and 2000 Guineas
The first of the five classic races of the flat season are on this weekend at Newmarket, ‘The Home of Horseracing’. Run on The Rowley Mile over a straight eight furlongs it is a real test of the thoroughbred and on Saturday it’s The 2000 Guineas for the colts and then on Sunday The 1000 Guineas for the fillies.
The pressure is on the ‘Master of Ballydoyle’, Aiden O’Brien, to build on the seven Guineas that he has won already and he looks to have a firm grip on both races with Air Force Blue and Minding. The Tout recommends a double on both of these but his preference is for Minding on Sunday who looks very good indeed and one to follow throughout the season.
For those of you looking for some each way value try Gallileo Gold on Saturday and Nathra on Sunday and they will be available at between 10/1 and 16/1 providing great value and both trainers are in form.

As always, these tips provide me with a bit of fun. I’m off to William Hill this morning and I promise to flutter my 86-year old eyelashes! They think I’m mad until I come back to collect my winnings.
