Featuring 9 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, ‘The Owlwood Estate’ or more simply 141 South Carolwood Drive is described as “easily one of the city’s most iconic and historically significant properties.” Built in 1937 to the designs of Robert D. Farquhar in a “classic European Italian Renaissance” style, the estate was owned by Tony Curtis and Sonny Bono and Cher in the 1960s and has also been home to Joe Schenck, the first president of United Artists and a chairman of 20th Century Fox.
Now offered with designs for redevelopment by Bob Shapiro, the head of Sturmer Pippin Investments and CEO of Woodbridge Luxury Homes, the property offered also includes a sunken tennis court, a swimming pool and two guest houses.
Adam Rosenfeld of Mercer Vine is the realtor handling the sale.

As a property professional, I would say the current asking price of £11,146 psf is far too ambitious. Even in London, the £7,000 psf achieved for One Hyde Park is now considered excessive and Holmby Hills, Los Angeles does not have the same cache. The right order would be around £5,000 psf or £61 million I would suggest in the current market – a loss for the current owner sadly.
As a Property Professional I think Yolanda is not quite all there.
I think it utterly gorgeous and I am sure one of your clients would simply adore it.
You are a disgrace to be writing this and also that article about Rolf Harris yesterday. Rolf was CLEARED of one charge and now the doubt about the other convictions can only grow. Put it right or face the consequences ——– SCUM publication!
Yawn!
T W I T .
Ok Rolf could be innocent, Read this, let it take a moment to sink into your thick scull, then give us all a break, and go away. As you say, he was cleared of ONE charge, sorry Not cleared, just an unsafe conviction. It certainly doesn’t put the other 11 CONVICTIONS into any doubt.
FAILED: Rolf Harris spent £200,000 in a bid to quash his convictions and return home to Oz
“Rolf is furious with how this has turned out”
A legal source close to Harris
“Rolf has been told this is the end of the line. His lawyers have done all they can and there is now nowhere for him to go.
“He spent an awful lot of money just to have one conviction overturned, but his reputation is in ruins.
“Despite that, Rolf is so arrogant that he’s decided to ‘go back to the drawing board’ and have yet another go at clearing his name.
“None of us understands what this might involve.” The source added: “Rolf cannot accept his guilt. In his mind, he is innocent.
The renderings for redesign are really boring
Agree with Zach . Deeply boring……(And superfluous !)
