Losing Labour

Section:

News that a “group of Labour MPs” are set to quit the plainly out-of-touch party to form a “breakaway movement” is positive for Britain; disaffected Tories should follow suit

The Labour Party used to be successful. Like him or loathe him, Tony Blair made this previously unelectable ragbag of rubbish electable and seized on an ability to control the centre ground.

Now, under Jeremy Corbyn, a rabid rat-like operator with a questionable past, Labour is back to its dark days. In a position where they should be smashing the worst Prime Minister in history, Theresa May, Labour are still at their weakest.

A party split by divisions over not only Brexit, but also antisemitism, immigration and Venezuela even, Labour do not serve Britain and news in The Observer that “at least six [of their] MPs have been drawing up plans to resign the whip and leave the party soon” to “form a breakaway movement” is nothing but expected. Corbyn and his core team – most especially his ex-lover Diane Abbott – are about as useful as chocolate teapots and what this country truly requires is a credible opposition.

We urge those that The Observer mentions to get on with their plan and we also call for sensible Conservatives – such as Dominic Grieve, Kenneth Clarke, Anna Soubry and Sarah Wollaston – to unite with them. Let’s get Britain out of Brexit and back into business.

  1. Here loody here, it’s taken too long to get to this point and they HAVE to avoid the previous mistake of turning into a Liberal party that’s equally unelectable

  2. It’s quite staggering to note the similarities between the UK and US political dilemmas. In both cases a vile repugnant leader is challenged by an opposition comprised of utterly feckless, loony-tune, politically correct, identity-politics ridden, neo-communists.
